Print Pail sheets are practice and planning aids, and the size on paper depends on your print settings, so please read what we did and did not test before relying on a printout for anything that must be exact.

Printed size can change

A sheet is drawn at real measurements, but a print dialog set to a scale other than 100% changes them. At 95% a 10 mm square prints at 9.5 mm, and “Fit to page” can change it by any amount. Check one printed square with a ruler before you cut, build or measure from a sheet.

What we tested, and what we did not

We printed 16 PDF pages from Chrome (four sheet types, Letter and A4, portrait and landscape) and every one came out as one page of the right size. We did not test every printer model, driver, browser or special paper, so a result on your own printer can differ.

Learning and school use

The multiplication chart and the ruled paper support practice. They are not a curriculum and do not replace a teacher’s plan.
